Phitsanulok (Thai: พิษณุโลก) is an important, old city in the north of Thailand. The city is also the capital of the province with the same name.
Phitsanulok is located about 380 km north of Bangkok via the road.
The route over the road leads via Nakhon Sawan on usually good four -lane roads.
Phitsanulok borders in the north on the province of Uttaradit and Laos.
The south borders Phichit, East on Loei and Phetchabun and the west on Kamphaeng Phet and
Sukhothai.
Phitsanulok has a lot of natural beauty such as waterfalls, forests and caves.
Especially the mountainous northwest is an important area for tourism with sights such as
the Kaeng Sopha Waterval, Phu Hin Rong Kla and Phu Soi Dow.
